Privacy
Palmistry by Alma is an entertainment app. This page says exactly what happens to your data, in plain words.
Your photo
The photo of your hand is sent once to an AI vision model to describe what is visible (lines, shape, fingers). The photo is then discarded. It is never written to a database, never stored on a server, never used to train anything, and never seen by a person. Only the short text description of the features is kept, so your paid read can be written from it.
What we keep
The text description of your palm features, the teaser and full read that were generated for you, the time of each step (capture, teaser, paywall, purchase, share), a campaign code if you arrived from an ad or a creator link, and a hashed version of your IP address for one hour, used only to limit abuse. No name, email, or account is required to use the app.
Your birth details
If you have lifetime access and ask for your palm read against your birth chart, you give a birth date, and optionally a birth time and place. They are used once to work out your signs and are not stored: not in the database, not in logs. If you give a place, its name is sent once to Open-Meteo's geocoding service to find its coordinates and time zone. Only the signs (Sun, Moon and, with time and place, rising) are kept with your read, together with the first name and relationship status if you chose to give them, because the read is written with them.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. They handle your card details and your receipt; we never see your card number. Their privacy policy applies to the checkout step. We receive the buyer email and an order reference so your read can be unlocked and kept against your email.
Cookies and analytics
The app uses session storage to remember your campaign code and your last reading while you are on the site. If you arrived from an advert, an advertising pixel from Meta or Google may record that you visited and whether you completed a read, so the advert can be measured. You can block these with your browser settings and the app still works.
AI providers
Reads are generated by third-party language models accessed through OpenRouter. The feature description, never the photo, is sent for the paid read. Passages from public-domain palmistry books, published 1879 to 1925, are included so the read can cite its sources; the chart read uses passages from public-domain astrology books, published 1822 to 1928, the same way. Only the signs are sent to the model, never the birth details.
Deleting your data
Each read has a private link. Email the address on the terms page with that link and the reading and its events will be deleted within 7 days.
Who
The app is operated by Vishwahithh Mora, an individual, from Spain. This is a small independent project, not a company with a data team, so please email rather than expecting a portal.
