What this is

Alma is an AI character. Palmistry by Alma is an entertainment and self-reflection app. Reads are generated by a language model from a description of your hand and passages from public-domain palmistry books. They are written to be funny and a little too accurate. They are not predictions, not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and not a statement of fact about you. Please do not make decisions based on a read.

Age

You must be 18 or older to purchase a read.

The free teaser and the paid read

The teaser is free. The full read costs the price shown at the paywall, charged once through Stripe, which processes the payment and issues the receipt. After payment the full read is generated and shown at a private link. Your reads are kept against the email you paid or signed up with; you sign in with a one-time link, there is no password.

Lifetime access

There are two prices. $3.99 unlocks the one read you bought. $8.99 ("you and your partner, for life"), or holding a founding spot, gives the email you used lifetime access: new full reads for any palm you photograph, up to 10 new reads every 30 days (fair use). Lifetime means for as long as Palmistry by Alma operates. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

The chart read ("your palm and your chart") needs lifetime access and uses the birth details you choose to give: your birth date, and optionally your birth time and place. You must be 18 or older to use it. Like the rest of the app, it is for entertainment and predicts nothing.

Founding 10

The first 10 people who claim a founding spot get their full read and lifetime access free, with no card. In return we ask four private feedback questions after the first read. Any honest answer counts; we never ask for, or reward, a positive rating or a public review. If you allow it, we may quote your answers anonymously, always marked as coming from a founding member who received free access. Lifetime access switches on once the questions are answered.

Refunds

If your full read fails to generate, or it is plainly not about the hand you photographed, email within 7 days with your read link and you will be refunded in full. Reads that simply did not land are part of the entertainment; refunds for taste are at our discretion, and we are usually kind about it.

Your photo

By taking a photo you confirm it is your own hand or that you have the person's permission. The photo is discarded after the teaser; see the privacy page.

Acceptable use

No automated access, scraping, or bulk submissions. Rate limits apply and abusive traffic is blocked.

Sources

Quoted passages come from books published between 1879 and 1925 that are in the public domain. Alma strips the fortune-telling from them and keeps the personality reading. Old books contain old ideas; a citation shows where a line came from, not that it is true.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the read.
